What makes it difficult to catch similar tone is his amps, so if you have a tube amp, leave on clean channel and crank up Bass, Treble 12-3pm and turn down Mids to nothing and than tweak settings to taste.

Once you dial in that scooped clean tone with a hint of reverb, than kick in OD pedal and make adjustaments to pedal via volume, OD level, etc to get as close as you can get- dont change amp setttings you just dialed in.
